These terms are the agreement between you and Caregiver Career Match when you use this website. Please read them before you create an account. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms.
1. Who we are
Caregiver Career Match is operated as part of Stone Academy in Fort Worth, Texas. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Caregiver Career Match. “You” means anyone who uses the site, whether as a caregiver, an employer, a family, a training institute or a visitor.
2. What the site is, and what it is not
Caregiver Career Match is a platform where caregivers find work and where care facilities, agencies and families find caregivers. We give both sides the tools to find each other and talk directly.
- We are not a staffing agency. We do not employ caregivers, place them, supervise them or pay them. An employer who hires through the site hires the caregiver directly and pays the caregiver directly.
- We never charge a placement fee, to anyone, at any plan.
- We do not promise a result. We cannot guarantee that a caregiver will be hired, that a job will be filled, or that anyone you meet through the site is right for you.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- The information you give us must be true and your own. One person per account, and one account per person.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and you should tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
4. If you are a caregiver
- Core access to the site is free for caregivers: creating a profile, searching and applying for jobs, and talking to employers. Caregivers never pay us for a hiring decision.
- Your profile must be accurate. List only certifications and licenses you actually hold, with their real numbers. Do not upload anyone else’s photo, documents or work history.
- You decide when your profile is published. Once it is, employers who are allowed to search caregivers can see it, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. If you hire
This section applies to facilities, agencies, families and anyone else who posts a job or searches caregivers.
- Every job you post must be a real, open position, and must show the pay. The site does not accept “competitive” or “negotiable” in place of a number.
- You make your own hiring decisions and your own checks. That includes interviews, references, background checks, and any checks the law or your license requires. If you run a background check, you are responsible for following the laws that apply to it, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- You must follow the employment laws that apply to you, including laws against discrimination, and you must treat caregivers’ personal information with care. Use it only to consider them for work, never for anything else.
- Contact details and other features on paid plans are for your own hiring. Do not copy, export or pass caregivers’ information to anyone else.
6. Credential checks and Vetted Certified
When a caregiver lists a certification or license, we may check it against the public registries that hold it, and a person reviews the result. A check tells you what the registry showed on the day it was checked. It is not a promise about the person, and it does not replace your own checks.
A Vetted Certified badge names a specific program the caregiver completed, and a person approved it. It means exactly that, and nothing more.
7. Facility listings
A facility listing must describe a real place, with information the facility is able to stand behind: its address, the care it offers and the payments it accepts. Requests that families send through a listing go to the facility. We do not take bookings or payments for a bed or room.
8. Jobs from other websites
Some jobs on the site are collected from employers’ own public hiring pages and job services, and are marked as external. Applying to one of them takes you to the employer’s own site. We do not control those sites or those employers, and their terms apply there.
9. Messages and contact
Messages and contact details on the site are for work between caregivers and the people hiring them. Do not use them to advertise, to recruit for anything unrelated, to send bulk messages, or to harass anyone. We may limit or remove access for anyone who does.
10. Things you may not do
- Post false, misleading or discriminatory jobs, profiles or listings.
- Pretend to be someone else, or to hold a credential you do not hold.
- Collect or copy other users’ information by hand, by script or by any automated means.
- Try to get around the limits of a plan, or into parts of the site you are not allowed to reach.
- Upload anything unlawful, harmful or that you do not have the right to share.
- Interfere with the site or its security.
11. What you post
You keep ownership of what you post, such as your profile, photos, jobs and listings. You give us permission to store it, show it on the site to the people allowed to see it, and use it to run the site. That permission ends when you delete it or close your account, except for copies that other users already received, such as an application or a message.
We may remove anything that breaks these terms or the law.
12. Paid plans, billing and refunds
Caregivers never pay for core access. Employers can use the site on a free plan, or choose a paid plan or add-on for more features, as described on our Pricing page. Before you pay for anything, we show you the price, what it includes and how long it lasts.
- Who takes the payment. Card payments are taken by Stripe, our payment provider, for Caregiver Career Match (part of Stone Academy). We never see or store your full card number.
- Monthly plans and add-ons renew every month on the day you first paid, until you cancel. You are charged the price shown when you bought. If you joined at a launch price, you keep that price for as long as your subscription stays active; if you cancel and join again later, the price at that time applies.
- One-time purchases, such as the Family Pass or a featured job, are charged once, last for the period shown (for example 30 days) and do not renew.
- Cancel any time from Plan and billing in your dashboard. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and then it stops renewing. Nothing you posted is deleted; the paid features simply stop.
- Refunds. We do not refund part of a month or time you did not use, except where the law requires it. If we charged you by mistake, or charged you twice, contact us and we will refund that charge in full.
- If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries again and we let you know. If it still fails after a short grace period, the paid features pause until the payment goes through.
- Price changes. If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal at the new price, so you can cancel first if you wish.
- Sales tax. If sales tax applies to a purchase, it is shown before you pay.
- A question about a charge? Please contact us first. We can usually fix a billing problem faster than a card dispute can.
13. Closing an account
You can ask us to close your account at any time through our Contact page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users at risk, or is used for anything unlawful.
14. The site is provided as it is
We work hard to keep the site accurate and running, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises about it beyond those written in these terms, and we are not responsible for what users post, say or do, on or off the site.
15. Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost opportunities, arising from your use of the site. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid us nothing. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
16. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
17. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect. Using the site after that means you accept the new terms.
