This policy explains what information Caregiver Career Match collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain English. If anything here is unclear, please ask us through our Contact page.
Who we are
Caregiver Career Match is a job and resume platform for caregivers and the people who hire them. It is operated as part of Stone Academy in Fort Worth, Texas. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Caregiver Career Match, and “you” means anyone who visits the site or has an account.
The short version
- Caregivers never pay for core access to the site.
- A caregiver profile is never public. Only people signed in to an account that is allowed to search caregivers can open it, and only after the caregiver publishes it.
- A caregiver’s street address is never shown to anyone. Email and phone number are shown only to employers on a paid plan.
- We never collect, store or send a Social Security Number, for verification or for anything else.
- We do not sell personal information about you.
What we collect
When you create an account
Your first and last name, email address, password, phone number and ZIP code. Depending on the kind of account, we also ask:
- Caregivers: your preferred language.
- Families: who needs care (for example a parent or a spouse).
- Facilities and agencies: your organization’s name, type and size.
We use your ZIP code to show jobs, caregivers or care homes near you.
If you are a caregiver
Whatever you choose to add to your profile. This can include your job title, the city or area you work in, a short bio, a photo, an introduction video, your certifications and licenses with their numbers, languages, skills, the shifts and hours you want, your pay expectations, work history, education, references, and a resume file.
You decide what goes on your profile, and it is shown to employers only when you publish it.
If you hire
Your organization and contact details, the jobs you post (including the pay, which every job on this site must show), your facility listing if you have one, and the notes and decisions you record about applicants.
When you use the site
The jobs you apply to and your application answers, the messages you send and receive on the site, saved jobs and bookmarks, job alerts you set up, and the notifications we send you. If you confirm that a job led to a hire, we record that too.
Forms you send us
When you use our contact form, the Request Staff form, or a care home’s information or tour form, we receive what you type into it and pass it to the people it is meant for.
When you pay for a plan
Stripe, our payment provider, collects your card details, name, email and billing address to take the payment. We keep a record of what you bought, the amount, the dates and Stripe’s reference for the payment, so we can show your plan and answer billing questions.
Technical information
Like most websites, our server records basic technical details when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages visited. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember simple settings. See “Cookies” below.
What we never collect
We never ask for, store or send a Social Security Number. We do not ask for bank account details. Card payments for paid plans are handled by Stripe, our payment provider, and we never see or store your full card number.
How we use your information
- To run your account and show you the right jobs, caregivers or care homes.
- To let employers find caregivers, and caregivers apply to jobs, and to deliver messages and applications between them.
- To check certifications a caregiver lists (see “Credential checks” below).
- To send the emails you would expect: account emails, application and message notices, and job alerts you asked for.
- To keep the site safe, prevent spam and misuse, and fix problems.
- To understand how the site is used and what care work pays in our area, in aggregate (see “Statistics” below).
Who can see your information
Caregiver profiles
- A profile is never public. It can be opened only by people signed in to an account that is allowed to search caregivers, and only after the caregiver publishes it.
- Employers on the free plan see a profile with the last name hidden, and without email, phone, social links, certification or license numbers, reference contact details or the resume download.
- Email and phone are shown only to employers on a paid plan.
- The street address is never shown to anyone. We keep it only so that a future search by distance can work.
- You can always see your own profile in full, and our site administrators can see all profiles in order to run the site.
Jobs and facility listings
Jobs and facility listings are public. That includes the pay shown on a job and the address, care types and payment options shown on a facility listing.
When you apply or send a message
When you apply to a job, the employer who posted it receives your application and can open your profile. When you send a message, the person you send it to receives it.
Credential checks
When a caregiver lists a certification or license, we may look it up in the public state and national registries that hold it, such as the Texas Health and Human Services Nurse Aide Registry, the Texas Board of Nursing and the National Healthcareer Association. A person reviews the result before any badge appears.
A Vetted Certified badge names the program that was completed, and a person approves it. It is not a general promise about a caregiver.
Who we share information with
- The people you choose to deal with on the site, as described above.
- Service providers who help us run the site, only for that purpose: our web host (Hostinger), Stripe (card payments for paid plans), the service that delivers our emails, Google Maps (maps and location search), Google reCAPTCHA (to stop spam on forms) and Google Fonts.
- If the law requires it, for example to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the safety of a person.
- If the site changes hands, the information would move with it, and this policy would continue to apply to it.
We do not sell personal information about you.
Statistics
We may publish or share statistics about care work, such as what jobs in our area pay. Anything we publish is aggregate: it never names a person, never shows a single employer’s wages, and never describes a group of fewer than 10 people.
Jobs from other websites
Some jobs on the site are collected from employers’ own public hiring pages and job services. When you apply to one of those, you leave our site and apply on the employer’s site, and their privacy policy applies there.
Cookies
We use cookies that the site needs to work: to keep you signed in, to remember that you accepted something, and to protect forms from spam. Google Maps and Google reCAPTCHA may set their own cookies when a map or a protected form is on the page. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep information
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we must keep something by law or to settle a dispute. Messages and applications you exchanged with someone else may remain in their account.
Your choices
- You can edit your profile and account details at any time from your dashboard.
- Caregivers can unpublish their profile at any time, and it stops being shown to employers.
- You can stop job alerts from any alert email.
- You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Use our Contact page and we will reply.
Security
We protect the site with secure connections, private file storage for resumes and certificates (they are served only after checking who is asking), and limited access for our own team. No website can promise perfect security, so please use a strong password and keep it to yourself.
Children
The site is for adults looking for work or hiring. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email or with a notice on the site.
