Vetted Plus is a badge on your caregiver profile. It tells an employer that a person on our team checked your license or certificate on the state registry, that your profile is complete with a professional photo and an intro video, and that you completed our approved training.

How it works

Five steps to your badge

Steps 1 to 3 are things you do yourself. Then you send us your course certificate, and a person on our team checks everything.

  1. 01

    Hold a real caregiving license or certificate

    For example a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Medication Aide certificate. Add it to your profile with its number, so we can look it up.

  2. 02

    Complete your whole profile

    Fill in every part of your profile, and add a professional photo and a short intro video. Employers trust a profile they can see and hear.

    Take the Steppingstone course

    Online and self-paced, about 8 hours, at Stone Academy. You get a certificate when you pass.

    A person on our team checks everything

    We look up your license or certificate on the Texas state registry, go over your profile, and check your course certificate. When it all checks out, the Vetted Plus badge goes on your profile and we let you know.

Before you start

Does the badge cost anything?

No. The badge is free. The course has its own fee, which you pay to Stone Academy, not to us.

What does my profile need?

Every part filled in, a professional photo, a short intro video, and your license or certificate with its number. The badge sits on your profile, so the profile has to be complete before we can give it.

Is this a background check?

No. Vetted Plus means a person checked your license or certificate on the state registry, your profile is complete, and you completed our approved training. It is not a background check, and we never present it as one.

Can the badge be taken off?

Yes, if a certificate turns out not to be valid. If that ever happens, we tell you ourselves and say why.
